An Ode to Shoes

For anyone who knows me, you know I have what many might call a shoe excess problem. But, I like to call it a healthy addiction (a quote from the one and only J.Crew's Jenna Lyons). Honestly, I have styled for so many clients and often we will have the perfect outfit, but have so much trouble finishing the outfit because they don't have the right shoes.

You don't have to spend a million bucks to get a few pairs of great shoes. In fact, part of the reason I have so many shoes is because I shop the racks of Marshalls and TJMaxx often, finding so many great pairs of designer and brand name shoes for usually between $20-45 a pair.

Here are some fabulous shoe-spirations for you starting with some staples and info where you can buy them!

A flat in a neutral color will be great with any
outfit and COMFORTABLE. If your feet need a rest or you're going
to be walking a lot, a pair of neutral flats is a stylish
and still comfy option.
These are from Nordstrom for $60.26

A classic pair of strappy sandals in a neutral color are
ESSENTIAL to have in your wardrobe.
You can wear these with jeans, shorts, a dress, either casually or dressy.
The options are endless.
These from Ann Taylor  and are a great pair for $128
A metallic pair of flip flops is MANDATORY for summer!
These simple and comfortable flip flops are great for the beach
but can also be worn with a sundress for a casual lunch or a dress with
lots of jewelry for a dressier night time look.
These are from TKEES (a celebrity favorite) from Intermix for $50

A pair of pointed toe black pumps should be
 in EVERY woman's wardrobe.
I have heard so many times from clients that pointed
toe 'pinches' their toes too much, but that is just
because they are the wrong shoe for you. If you want a
more comfortable pointed toe, try a pump with a wider
box like these...so not as narrow of a point.
These are from Topshop for $110.

A nude pair of pumps goes with EVERYTHING!
Invest in a comfortable pair.
These are from Neiman Marcus Last Call for $57

And for pure footsie inspiration...
